What if I am a TUC Public Health student, but a Touro Nevada COM student? How do I access both libraries?

Answer

You should be able to access both TUC and TUN libraries. Make sure you are starting at the right library website and follow the instructions below to sign in.

However, because internet browsers track previous logins, you may see error messages and have difficulty switching between multiple Touro libraries. Please follow the below instructions and contact the library if you have any issues accessing TUC Library resources.

1. Always start at the website of the Library you are trying to access. If you are trying to access TUC Library resources, you want to start at our Library Website. It is also a good idea to start with a new browser, incognito tab, or after clearing your browser cache. There are fewer issues switching libraries if you start at the library's website instead of TouroOne.

2. Select TouroOne as your login method.

3. When you see a list of organizations, select the appropriate Touro library. If you are trying to access a TUC library resource, you must select Touro University - California. If you are trying to access a TUN library resource, select Touro University - Nevada.

Note, you will only see organizations where you are a patron. If you do not have the Touro University - California option listed, please contact tuc.library@touro.edu and we will submit a TouroOne help desk ticket on your behalf.

A few tips:

  • You want to make sure that you are going through the correct Library’s website and links.
  • If you are looking for a specific database, article, or book, make sure you check both libraries!
  • Because our browsers track previous logins, below are some strategies to manage access to both libraries.
Suggestions for managing the different library logins
Option 1: Incognito Mode Option 2: Dedicated browsers Option 3: Clear browsing history/cache

Use incognito/private mode before going to the library website

For example: in Firefox open a New private Window and then type tu.edu/library in the address box to access TUC library

Dedicate a browser to a library

For example: Firefox is for TUC and Chrome is for TUN

Clear your browser's cache/browsing history

You can clear all your history or individually find all Touro University websites and clear them all. Then close your browser (all windows) and reopen the browser for the cache to be updated.
